This publication documents the families of the Großsanktnikolaus community across three centuries—from the initial settlement up to the 21st century. The experienced Banat genealogists Helga and Anton Hornung have once again produced a meticulously researched work, spanning nearly 4,000 pages. Through painstaking, detailed work, familial connections are brought to light and made clearly visible. Constructing a reliable family history is now easily achievable, even for the genealogical novice.

Across the five volumes covering the period from 1753 to 2017, the Hornungs have thoroughly transcribed the community's church records; they have assigned the individual baptisms, marriages, and deaths to specific families, thereby rendering the information both easy to follow and clearly organized.

Furthermore, various indices, including lists of wives, a gazetteer, a bibliography, and a list of abbreviations and symbols, complement the work and facilitate its use.

Produced in the typical A5 format with sturdy thread-stitched binding, this work ensures that future generations will also be able to look back upon our ancestral homeland and the generations who, over the centuries, shaped our community and built it through incredible effort.

Our deepest gratitude goes to the Hornungs, who have once again achieved the seemingly impossible—deciphering the original entries and rendering them legible. They rank among the most reliable genealogists in the field of Banat family research and have earned immense recognition for the *Großsanktnikolaus Family Book* they have presented here. Publisher: AVBF (Working Group for the Publication of Banat Family Books).
