Many Faces of Alang Beach
This is to invite you to share the FINDINGS of a recent visit to Alang beach, Bhavnagar, Gujarat. These findings assume significance because it is the first independent fact finding visit after the September 2007Supreme Court's order, the adoption of a new treaty on ship breaking by International Maritime Organisation in May 2009 and the retirement of Hon'ble Justice Arijit Pasayat. The findings capture many faces of Alang beach.
It includes hitherto unaccessed academic research findings about the Alang beach and a large number of rare pictures of Alang.
A Spanish researcher of Lawrence Summers Principle from University of Barcelona would also share his experiences.
