A few notes, and others can correct me because i'm sure i'm going to munge a few things:
  • The original 2720 is what recently received an update that broke the ability to connect with WebIDE and sideload apps
  • the 2720 V (Verizon specific) is a wholly different OS version (2.5.2 on the original vs. 2.5.4 on the V version i believe?).
  • I believe the V version is already locked down to disable the ability to connect w/ WebIDE (this is the part i'm most fuzzy on).
Notes regarding what you're hoping to do:
  • You won't be able to remove the browser - at least not in the way i think you're hoping, as the entire operating system is sitting on top of the Firefox browser, and is browser based.
  • Even if you're able to get the Wallace Toolbox to sideload on your phone, i'm pretty sure it's not going to work with the 2720 for what you're hoping to do, as it requires the ability to get root access
Others correct me if i'm wrong?

Hey Everybody! I just got a new phone (Nokia 2720 V Flip) and there are a bunch of pre-installed apps that I don't want on it (Like the Browser, YouTube, and other time-wasting apps), so I starting Googling and trying to work with this phone, but everything seems to drive into a brick wall. I'm mostly reading articles from either  Martin Kaptein Blog or bananahackers. Here's where I'm at: It seems to me that the easiest way to uninstall unwanted apps is using Wallace toolbox as shown here: https://kaptein.me/blog/kai-os-remove-default-pre-installed-bloatware-apps/ I have one small problem installing it... When I try even starting adb engine, it says unauthorized by my phone:
image.png
and when I try adb forward tcp:6000 localfilesystem:/data/local/debugger-socket, I get this error message: Capture.PNG
even though the debug icon is showing on my phone:2021-10-17-20-15-39.png
The obvious answer would be to just enable adb from the developer menu, so I tried that using w2d.bananahackers.net, but when I hit enter developer menu, it first flashed a full menu for a second that looked like this:
 unnamed.png
But after a second, without me doing anything, it changed to this:
unnamed.png
On this menu, it clearly says that ADB is enabled, but this isn't the full menu! Honestly, at this point, I have no clue what to do. As you can probably tell, I have really little knowledge of this whole topic. I just got into it through Google searches. I just saw a post on this forum that seems to say that the new 2720 update makes this feature complicated. Luxferre replied to this post with a whole complicated post that seems to me is saying how to downgrade my phone to a previous version before the update, but I have no clue what he's saying. At this point, I have no clue what to do and my brain is fried. Could somebody please help me or at least start me off? Remember, all I want to do is sideload Wallace Toolbox to my phone, and I'm done! If you find a way that works but disables all future updates, I really don't care as long as I could get these apps off my phone. Please try to help me with this problem. I would really appreciate it! Thank you so much!

unfortunately, you need the ability to root the phone in order to make those changes.  which gets us back to the original challenge of learning and working with the EDL/flashing process.  even then i'm not sure if it was possible to root the 2720 V?  someone else correct me though if i'm wrong?

First of all, I would just like to say THANK YOU! After hours of scouring online for days trying to find an answer to fix my problem, I come across an amazing forum dedicated to these phones! I just think it's really nice that there are so many people out there trying to help total strangers with their technical problems. Thank you so much!
Secondly, I just want to get these icons off of my apps screen and the left-side home screen menu:
  • Browser
  • Google
  • Youtube
  • FM Radio
  • Snake Game
  • QR Reader
I don't care if the apps still exist on my phone, I just want them off my apps screen.

If anybody knows how to get any of these apps off, I would really appreciate it. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
