KAVA java emulator for KaiOS

I have Nokia 8110 4G KaiOS phone and I downloaded Kava emulator app and installed it using OmniSD. I wanted to play some java games since there are a lot of very good games left from the Java phones days. But the app itself does not seem to work. Either the apps fail to load or they load but then everything stops. I tried many java games and I have the same problem. Please, how to fix this? I hope that at least the app gets updated. The Java games universe in big and we should be able to access it.
