An alternative method of installing OmniSD on Jio Phones

This method works for all Jio Phones irrespective of their model or processor.

Download the stock rom for your Jio Phone model and replace the userdata.img in it with the userdata.img from link below:

Tested on:

KaiOS2.0 and KaiOS2.5

and

MSM8905 and SC9820.

It is also a safer way that doesn't break updates because it interests only the /data partition.

I think it could be useful also a script or a complete guide for non expert/common indian users. 

The classic hard jailbreak througt recovery/sdcard update doesn't work for all the Jio Phone's models (here the Nayam's video)

This works on a Jio because they have 'complete' tock-images and a official way to flash them... we don't have that for Nokia 8110 (officially)

Do you have mode than one "userdata.img" in the form of "userdata_1.img, userdata_2.img, userdata_3.img" and so on...

If yes then you need to convert my "userdata.img" into many "userdata.img"s' using "simg2simg" before flashing.

If no, then you are okay replacing the "userdata.img" with my jailbroken version.

Please ensure that you don't modify anything in the stock ROM.

We use QFIL for Qualcomm Jio Phones. (Sometimes different tools).

We use SPD_Research_Tool for Spreadtrum Jio Phones.

We need to modify the EFS to unlock the Jio SIM carrier lock.

Does not modify anything,flashed with modded userdata.img and original stock image but device keep restarting on jio logo. Flashed with both qfil tool and qflash tool.previously my phone is on kai os 2.5 and now i am flashing 2.0 rom

Check if the rom gets successfully installed without the custom userdata.
Use the original userdata.
If it does not work, then there's something wrong with the ROM itself.
If it works, there's something wrong with my custom userdata. In that case, can you please provide me your userdata. I'll try to patch that with OmniSD

Is your directory structure like this:

If yes, then you have an indivusal userdata.img in a particular directory.

And also a group of userdata images eg:"userdata_1.img, userdata_2.img, userdata_3.img" etc. in a different directory

You need to replace both the coppies with their respective custom images.

For the indivusal userdata, directly replace it with the custom useerdata.

For the group userdata, use a tool like "simg2simg" to convert the custom userdata into many files.

Flashed kai os 2.5 firmware and phone boot successfully,we can't downgrade phone firmware. Now, how to flash patched userdata.img ,it has many userdata.img under folder directory common/build/bin/asic/sparse_images and single userdata.img under android/out/target/product/msm8909_512/

You can't for now, there's no known tool for it.
So this guide probably won't work with most of the jiophones. Maybe only the one he tested on will work with this Guide.

Tried with v1.0.0.2 nothing works,i think problem is in userdata.img ,flasher cant read packet header only read 0 byte in userdata.img. All flasher throws same error.

i had tested produced many img by packing back to single img using packsparseimg.exe

and had mounted resulted raw image successfully

no you dont need to flash whole rome , just open qfil v2.0 and select flat buid option then load requide files.

Thanks Bhawnaintech for wonderful java script and Thanks AdvancedHACKERniV1 for custom userdata I successfully install omnisd in lf-2403n jiophone. As already mentioned in posts QFIL is not working for me so I use Qflash tool metabuild v6 and replace userdata image and sparsed usedata image and edit raw unsparsed.xml file with xml notepade (Microsoft) and everything is perfect. thanks again for all members of this wonderful group

Try this: backup your phone using miracle box. Then rename the modded userdata.img to userdata and then replace it in the miracle box backup, then you can easily flash it back
