Long story short, got a Alcatel Go Flip (2?) 4044t, wanted to get it modded due to stuck on KaiOS 1.0. Thought I could flash different recovery for it, ended up bricking it. Luckily I had the recovery backed up before it was flashed over. So where can I get a firehose for this thing so I could get it working again?

Let's clarify:

1. What partitions/files did you modify, other than recovery? Flashing an incompatible recovery should really NOT cause any damage to your normal boot...

2. How did you flash recovery? Was it by using any of the provided rooting apps, and then running dd commands via adb, or you used a firehose loader to flash in EDL mode? In the latter case, you already have the correct loader, then I assume you are looking for a full (firehose) read to re-flash all required partitions...

1. I did not touch anything else other than the Recovery.

2. It was Wallace Lite and dd via adb. All I have is backup of recovery from earlier in those instructions, but I am not sure where the correct firehose is, and if one even exists for my device, as I already tried the one that's normally used with the 4044O in edl.py, and it failed with "Unexpected error on uploading, maybe signature of loader wasn't accepted ?".

On a related note, the fact that I didn't disable the install-recovery.sh script may have also contributed to this device's downfall.

So I guess I will never be able to recover this device unless I can figure out why the firehose is not being accepted?
