I tried to perform a factory reset on my Nokia 800 tough.
That was not succesfull.
Also updating with new firmware was not succesfull
After the reset process, I can view logfiles, but I do not know how to transport these logs to my PC.
I have changed the data partition to remove some default apps.
But I thought that after an factory reset, the data partition should be original again.

What should I do to fix this problem?

Is there anyone who has an image for the Nokia 800 tough?

Hi, if you have touched only the data partition should be enough a normal factory reset. Try from Recovery Mode if the normal reset from Settings wont work.

thanks for your reply. Maybe i have also changed another part. Because also using recovery mode did not work. At the moment i did not select the option ' use sd recovery'. I think that i need some specific files for the Nokia 800 tough. Is that right?

You should specify what "part" you have changed. Are you able to reboot using adb?

adb reboot recovery

One thing i did was removing the stock apps using the procedure below:
adb shell
busybox telnet localhost
mount -o remount,rw /system
rm /system/b2g/webapps/castleofmagic.gaiamobile.org/application.zip
rm /system/b2g/webapps/dangerdash.gaiamobile.org/application.zip
rm /system/b2g/webapps/nitrostreetrun2.gaiamobile.org/application.zip
I also removed some other games
exit
exit
adb reboot

Concerning the recovery mode. I did not type adb reboot recovery
After an OTA update the phone ended with an error and I got the recoverymode menu.

NOOOOOOOO! You've done an extreme change on the system partition! :(
Every change of the system partition will prevent the official updates! :(

but now is too late! I hope you have a backup of your webapps folder at least. In that care re-push them to their place!

I have no backup. Very silly of me. Must i send my 800 tough phone to the Nokia repair center? Or can i find a stock image anywhere?

I can send you all zips in the /system/b2g/webapps later today (in 6 hours) but which version of the firmware do you have? And the model number itself, please.

Dear Luxferre,

My phone is Nokia 800 Tough.
Kaios version 2.5.2
Other version on phone (nokia itself?) :11.00.17.02
The phone says there is an update: 12.00.17.01. But that update cannot be applied.
Is this enough information?

Kind regards, Dick-Wim

Yep, but I can send you the dump of 12.00.17.01 only. So you might probably need to change more than a system partition.
