Why is the Nokia 8110 too popular

Hello,

Im just wondering why i see that the nokia 8110 is more popularly used then the alcatel models, I've used both devices and

the 8110 - navi. centered buttons (right, left, up...) are very hard to click onto including the number pad.. especially if you have big fingers it will feel very frustrating, plus it dosent have a satisfying click feeling, however the alcatel, it maybe a flip phone but the navi. buttons are a little bigger and the feel of pressing is a little better.

Maybe there's something major i didnt know about the 8110 that is making it more popular than the alcatel device.

2. The device that started the whole movement --> lots more development for it.
