Hi,
When I applied the changes mentioned above, I was able to change /system/media/bootanimation.zip file, but after that there is one more boot animation.
I tried to check the contents of /oem directory but there seems to be nothing in that directory. Is there something I'm missing?

You have at least two parts at boot:
-- splash screen
-- boot animation

You can change both.

Yes. I originally changed splash.img and then the one that showed Nokia. After rebooting, I see my modified items followed by Nokia's original boot animation with the sound.

There is another level added after bootanimation.

This is officially intended for network providers to add their logo at boot completion.

It is located in the system.gaiamobile.org webapp. I once tried removing the picture from there, but it didn't help (maybe needs full reset to take effect).

I am not able to access /oem/media/bootanimation.zip.
When I do a ls -al, the folder seems empty

The basic bootanimation is located in /system/media/ as usual.

The last part showing Nokia & it's welcome tone, seems to be located in /system/b2g/webapps/system.gaiamobile.org/application.zip

I don't know about JioPhones but on the Bananaphone boot animation is under /system and any change to that will

prevent you from receiving future phone software updates.
