In KaiOS, browser is mostly part of the system app the the whole
operating system so it won't be easy and straightforward as any other
app.

no, you cannot just replace the search.gaiamobile.org, the browser itself is integrated into the system.

yeah I tried flashing the search.gaiamobile.org from a Nokia 6300 4g and it did not open correctly.
