Unfortunately, wallace, omnisd and bhacker store don't work on kaios 2.5.4 which 6300 and 8000 run. On these phones, excluding the us version of 6300, rooting is possible through edl.

So here is where I am at:

Nokia 6300 4G TA-1324: unlocked, unconnected (never had SIM in it), updated firmware (Aug, 12, 2022), US-based. 

Laptop: Windows 10 PC, PowerShell, ADB Platform, PaleMoon 28.6.1 with WebIDE

I can easily debug it with the debug code and get the bug icon.  I got the ADB Platform Tools working and I can connect my phone via USB to my laptop.  Command ".adb devices" finds my phone (e1e0ffc device).  Command "./adb forward tcp:6000 localfilesystem:/data/local/debugger-socket" allows PaleMoon WebIDE to Remote Runtime in Normal Mode.  But I need Privileged Mode via the Privileged Factory Reset and I cannot get there.

I was able to sideload OmniSD on the phone but the pressing of the "#" key and confirming does not reboot the phone in privileged mode.  It does nothing.

When I run the shell commands, I get this:

And I need "O" and "Permissive".  I think what it means is that I am not in Privileged Mode and have no Developer Tools enabled. When I try to sideload Wallace-Lite or Wallace Toolbox through the WebIDE, I get an error message saying "installing apps with any of these permissions is forbidden: embed apps,engmode-extension,embed-widgets" so I cannot do it. I think I am in normal mode and not in privileged mode so that's why.  I managed to sideload OmniSD and can open it on the phone but the Privileged Factory Reset with "#" does not work (I can do it and confirm it but nothing happens).  I've spend about 2 full days trying to get past this and I cannot without your help.  Do I reboot in EDL and sideload Wallace Toolbox or temporarily root the phone?  I saw a post by Biminhc1 about 5 months ago saying that rooting US-based Nokia 6300 4G "requires a distinct EDL loader which we don't have" but I do not know what that means.  Is it not possible to jailbreak my US-based Nokia?  Or am I missing a step or two?  What do I need to do?  Do I need to root my phone per BananaHackers' instructions?  What would you suggest I do to help me install Wallace Toolbox?

Please, please remember I use Win10 PC and PowerSell.  It took me 3 hours to figure out I needed the extra "./" before the "adb devices" command for it to run.  I have read/watched and screenshot and downloaded every page, every video, and every file available on bananaHackers.net so if you could give me Win10 PC and US-based TA-1324 DS specific instructions that would be awesome.  I am sure you guys can free my phone.  You know more about it than the Nokia guys!!!

I know this is babysitting duty for you guys but maybe you can try to help nonetheless.

Can you guide me through the steps to install wallace toolbox on this device?

On non-US 6300 4G: consult this step-by-step guide on permanently rooting your phone by "patching" the /boot partition before proceeding. After rooting, remove the permission forbidding rule by connecting the phone to a WebIDE session, then open Device Preferences in the right pane, search for devtools.apps.forbidden-permissions, delete its value and restart B2G (should be covered in the Next steps section).

If you have the TA-1324 6300 4G though, there's currently no possible way to install Wallace Toolbox on your phone. You can try to use Luxferre's CrossTweak instead, which has most of Wallace Toolbox features but doesn't rely on engmode-extension.
