Hey everyone! Little news from the BananaHackers team here. You may be familiar with
w2d.bananahackers.net, which, when you browse on the phone, allows you access to the Developer menu hidden on some KaiOS devices. Or the "Hotspot for JioPhones" page on the main
bananahackers.net website, which opens the Internet sharing menu hidden on JioPhones and mostly carrier-locked KaiOS devices.
Unless you bookmarked the websites on your phone, you may find typing
w2d.bananahackers.net on the T9 keyboard every time very boring and difficult. And while there have been quite a few shortcut URLs that redirect to or mimic these pages, we've been working on an in-house solution. We're proud to work with
JS.ORG to present a new website:
On this website, when you visit on your KaiOS device, from the very early v1.0 on the original Alcatel Go Flip to the latest v4.0 on the TCL Flip 4, you'll be greeted with a handful of tools that allows you to access the Developer menu, turn on Internet sharing, Grayscale mode, Flip open to answer, or even set the ADB port for wireless debugging. All on a single website.
This website is still in the early stages, and in the future we plan to introduce some tools and guides to help developers understand mozActivity and webActivity, which are used to power the functions of the page. We welcome your feedback to improve the site.
w2d.js.org is served via HTTP only to ensure accessibility on older KaiOS devices. If you have a KaiOS 1 device that can access sites with CloudFlare SSL, and have concerns about the security of the site, please let us know.
