Hello, I recently obtained a Nokia (6300 4G US) phone and wanted to root it.
I did some research and I'll explain my findings here to save those who are looking to do the same some time.
Furthermore, from what I've found is that there is no available firehose loader (.mdn) to root this device due to the difference in the PK hash.
HWID: 0x009600e100420029 (MSM_ID:0x009600e1,OEM_ID:0x0042,MODEL_ID:0x0029)
CPU detected: "MSM8909"
US PK_HASH: 0x338d702c38aab61291adcf854dd02bff4d9ae987f4221cd8b019001db8d4017b
(NON US PK HASH)
0x952bed90f6e9eac6e28da21916da4410e3dfebd81c5523ad712bb226db0b5df3
Because of this difference in PK hashes the US based hardware phones cannot be rooted due to a lack of a loader on the US Nokia 6400 4G phones.
Until..... a firehose loader "comes up"
"To make any use of this mode (EDL programming), users must get hold of OEM-signed programmers (.mdns), which seem to be publicly available for various such devices. While the reason of their public availability is unknown, our best guess is that these programmers are often leaked from OEM device repair labs"
