Way back in the day we had fun trying to imagine Seymour's poems as described in "An Introduction." I was thinking about the white cat widower one, being Seymour's last written in 1948. I think Seymour was putting himself in Muriel's future shoes, and the white cat is her mother.
Also, who else noticed the never-before seen Salinger writing a blurb for Buddy on the inside jacket of the 2018 Centennial Edition of "Raise High / An Introduction?"
[We grew up, far off-center of everything we were born amidst. Schools and banks here are closed, Post Offices too, on October 12th, Columbus Day. But for both my eldest and youngest brother and myself, on this same date, but in 1694, Basho died, in Osaka.

Any mention of a different date of death for Basho is only due to the difference between the Lunar and Gregorian calendars, I believe.
Good morning, nerds!
