There are lots (4 so far) of misspellings in the Centennial edition of "An Introduction" by the way, it's atrocious.  I didn't notice any in "Raise High," but why there would be none in the first story and some in the second is beyond me.  But to my point...

Buddy says the Glass children could sing, dance, and TELL FUNNY JOKES.  I believe it, but I can't for the life of me think of a joke that a Glass child would tell.  Would it be created themselves or an old standard by a favorite comedian?  I think they would create their own:

Seymour: "Did you hear about the guy who went to the Chinese restaurant?  News flash: Man bites Dog."

Walt: "You ever hear a whale of a joke?  Well that one was a minnow."

Buddy: "I went on a date last week, asked her if she wanted to get some seafood. She said no I think I'll take a bite of this rake."

Waker: "That joke wanted to swim but it couldn't get the toilet lid open."

Boo Boo: "A Buddhist monk asked me if I'd ever been to Timbuktu.  I said no but I've been to Bob Dollar Also!"

Zooey: "A marine biologist asked me if I would like to swim with sharks.  I said no, would you like to fart with kangaroos?"

Franny: "A Farewell to Arms?  Should've been called a farewell to legs!"

There were nine (9) misspellings in the Centennial edition of "An Introduction."  I usually speed through this story, so having them be so obvious is strange and terrible.  The first edition I compared it with has no misspellings.  It's perfect.  Why wouldn't they just use the original version?

There are no other changes to either story.  The only selling point for this Centennial edition is the mystery blurb from Buddy Glass.  I wonder what that is all about.

What do you think it is all about?
