Dear NMOs and medical students worldwide,
I hope this email finds you in good health. With it, it is my
pleasure to open the May 2026 Call for Articles for the
European Sting.
Background
The European Sting is a political newspaper that
aims to bring unbiased and trustworthy information to their
readers not only about European affairs but about almost any
political, economical and social topic. Furthermore, the Sting
welcomes its readers to take part in constructive and
critical dialogue on covered topics. As per the long standing
collaboration and IFMSA's official Memorandum of Understanding
with the European Sting, all IFMSA members are
monthly provided the opportunity to voice their ideas, concerns,
opinions and dreams in a global online magazine.
Topic for Articles
During this call, we will be accepting article submissions on
the following topic:
Promoting
Mental Health Awareness Among Future Healthcare
Professionals
Mental health is essential for everyone, including those who
provide care. Medical students and young professionals often
face high stress and burnout. Why is it important to prioritize
mental health in medical education, and how can future
healthcare workers help normalize conversations about wellbeing?
If you are interested in the topic and would like to share your
ideas with the world, kindly read the below requirements carefully
and submit your article(s) before the deadline.
Requirements for submission:
1) Article with a clearly defined and brief title, max 500
words body text, in English,
2) Author biography in third-person perspective,
3) Author profile picture,
4) Author email address.
Kindly note that the article itself and the author
biography with photo should be submitted in separate documents.
Furthermore, articles must be submitted in a file format allowing
editing in a word processor - hand-written and/or scanned articles
will not be accepted. Please state your name in the title of all
submitted documents. Articles not submitted according to the
specifications of the call will not be accepted. To be eligible
for publication, the author also needs to follow European Sting
on Facebook and/or twitter @europeansting.
