Dear NMOs and medical students worldwide,

I hope this email finds you in good health. With it, it is my pleasure to open the May 2026 Call for Articles for the European Sting.

Background
The European Sting is a political newspaper that aims to bring unbiased and trustworthy information to their readers not only about European affairs but about almost any political, economical and social topic. Furthermore, the Sting welcomes its readers to take part in constructive and critical dialogue on covered topics. As per the long standing collaboration and IFMSA's official Memorandum of Understanding with the European Sting, all IFMSA members are monthly provided the opportunity to voice their ideas, concerns, opinions and dreams in a global online magazine.

Topic for Articles 
During this call, we will be accepting article submissions on the following topic:
Promoting Mental Health Awareness Among Future Healthcare Professionals 
Mental health is essential for everyone, including those who provide care. Medical students and young professionals often face high stress and burnout. Why is it important to prioritize mental health in medical education, and how can future healthcare workers help normalize conversations about wellbeing?

If you are interested in the topic and would like to share your ideas with the world, kindly read the below requirements carefully and submit your article(s) before the deadline.

Requirements for submission
1) Article with a clearly defined and brief title, max 500 words body text, in English,
2) Author biography in third-person perspective,
3) Author profile picture,
4) Author email address.

Kindly note that the article itself and the author biography with photo should be submitted in separate documents. Furthermore, articles must be submitted in a file format allowing editing in a word processor - hand-written and/or scanned articles will not be accepted. Please state your name in the title of all submitted documents. Articles not submitted according to the specifications of the call will not be accepted. To be eligible for publication, the author also needs to follow European Sting on Facebook and/or twitter @europeansting.
