Dearest IFMSA Family,

I am pleased to officially open the call for members of the Program Proposal Appraisal Committee (PPAC) for the 2026 programs renewal cycle.

This year marks a significant milestone, as we will be renewing eight IFMSA Programs: Environmental Health (EH), Mental Health (MH), Maternal Health and Access to Safe Abortion (MHASA), HIV/AIDS and other STIs (HAS), Communicable Diseases (CD), Health and Non-Communicable Diseases (HLNCD), Realizing Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (RSRHR), and Health Systems (HS). With such a comprehensive renewal process ahead of us, ensuring quality, transparency, and objectivity in the appraisal of program proposals is more important than ever.

The establishment of the PPAC aims to provide a structured and standardized evaluation mechanism that guarantees:

Alignment of program proposals with IFMSA’s strategic priorities
Feasibility and sustainability within NMOs
Evidence-based and well-structured implementation plans
Constructive and objective feedback to drafting groups

Through it, we seek to strengthen the overall quality of IFMSA Programs and ensure that proposed programs are impactful, realistic, and representative of the diverse experiences of our National Member Organizations.

We are looking for 6-8 committed members who:

Have strong experience in activity management, particularly long-term projects or programmatic initiatives
Possess understanding of monitoring & evaluation, strategic planning, or program development
Can provide objective, constructive, and structured feedback
Are able to commit to the timeline outlined in the proposal

Joining the PPAC is an opportunity to directly contribute to shaping the future direction of IFMSA Programs and to support a transparent and evidence-driven decision-making process ahead of the August Meeting 2026.
