Dearest SCORPions of the world,


We are excited to share with you the next SCORP Digest of the term, with resources from April to May!


A “digest” is a collection of resources relevant to our work in SCORP. It is an initiative to provide you with resources and tools to help you in your activities, capacity building and work in external affairs. It also keeps you updated with what is happening worldwide and presents external opportunities for you to engage!


Without further ado, here is the digest!

1) SCORP External Affairs Updates

International Migration Review Forum 2026

The IFMSA delegation participated in Policy Debate, Roundtable 3 and many other sessions and side events. 

Engaging in discussions on migrant health, access to services, youth participation, climate mobility, and migration governance, while strengthening partnerships and identifying opportunities to advance IFMSA's advocacy and capacity-building efforts on migrant and refugee health.

WHA79: The Lancet, UNRWA, WHO, IFMSA Side Event

Health of Palestinians and Palestine Refugees: Persistent Challenges, Uninterrupted Care. 

This side event brings together global leaders, frontline health professionals, and partners to discuss how continuity of care is sustained despite immense constraints—highlighting resilience, innovation, and the importance of strong partnerships.

3) Ensuring Medical Access and Humanitarian Aid

Three human rights & peace policies that will be submitted for AM26. Can't wait to see the amazing work of the Policy SWG and Policy Commission 💚

Through interactive discussions and expert perspectives, participants will explore how young people can become effective changemakers in their communities and beyond.

  • From Policy to Practice: EA in Action - A comprehensive External Affairs-focused initiative that maps existing policies, evaluates their status and implementation, and provides practical guidance for members.

  • ADVOCACY FOR UNIVERSAL RIGHTS AND ACCESS (AURA) Online Workshop - aims to equip participants with practical advocacy competencies, policy-writing skills, stakeholder engagement strategies, and a deeper understanding of human rights-based approaches in healthcare.
