IFMSA is turning 75 years old! And we are inviting you to join us!
It is with great pleasure that we are opening the call for observers to attend the General Assembly March Meeting 2026 in Copenhagen, Denmark and Online.
You can find more information about the event in the Invitation Package.
How to apply?
Simply apply and fill out this form before November 20th at 23.59 GMT. The selected observers will be informed after confirmation and approval of the Executive Board and the Organizing Committee.
How much is the fee?
The fee for observers is the late fee according to their country’s category.
Please note that not paying your fee by the payment deadline will result in the cancellation of your registration. Additionally, any upon-arrival payment must be approved by the IFMSA EB and the Organising Committee, or else debts will be incurred to the individuals.
Online participation is free of charge but still requires registration and EB approval.
Who can apply?
Any medical student not represented by any NMO (including students from organizations if applying for candidate membership)
Any member from a suspended NMO
Invited Guests and external partners will be invited through a separate email.
What is an observer?
A medical student that will attend the GA with speaking (but not proposing or voting) rights at the plenary if mentioned on the Credential Form that was submitted to the Constitution Credential Committee.
The observer is not represented by an NMO and may be willing to learn about IFMSA procedures.
Relevant Bylaws paragraphs:
3.10. Observers in General Assembly Meetings are:
a. Any medical student not represented by an NMO
b. Any member from a suspended NMO
c. Invited guests
d. Delegates of an organization in an official relationship
e. External advisors
3.11. The participation of observers under paragraph 3.10.a must be approved by the Organizing Committee of the General Assembly Meeting and by the Executive Board of IFMSA. The participation of observers under paragraph 3.10.b, c, d and e must be approved by the Executive Board of IFMSA.
3.12. Speaking rights: All participants and observers have speaking rights during General Assembly Meetings if mentioned on the Credential Form that was submitted to the Constitution Credential Committee.
Your application will be reviewed by the Executive Board for approval. Bear in mind that applying through this form does not guarantee a spot for the General Assembly March Meeting 2026.
