Dear IFMSA Family,
We hope this email finds you and your loved ones safe and well.
Due to the recent events in the EMR region, PreEMR22 and EMR were postponed to ensure the safety and well-being of all members. After careful consideration, we are happy to announce that we are back again and officially opening a new call for Participants and Trainers for the 22nd Pre-Eastern Mediterranean Regional Meeting (PreEMR22), now taking place from 22 June to 26 June 2026 in Amman, Jordan.
This email includes all essential information regarding the event, application process, fees, and deadlines for both participants and trainers. We kindly encourage you to read it carefully, as everything you need is outlined below.
About PreEMR22
PreEMR is a long-standing capacity-building event that has brought together IFMSA members year after year to learn, grow, and strengthen their skills through IFMSA-certified workshops. Over time, it has become a shared space for generations of members from across the world to connect and develop together.
PreEMR22, taking place in Amman, Jordan, aims to further empower members by offering learning opportunities across a diverse range of topics through five workshops.
Call for Participants
We warmly invite IFMSA members to apply as participants to take part in one of the following workshops:
- Mental Health Essentials (MHE)
- Resilient Education for Action in Crisis and Health (REACH) - YES IT’S BACK!
- Finance, Logistics & Administration Workshop (FAL)
- SMART
- United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs)
Participants will be asked to select a first, second, and third workshop choice. Applications will be reviewed starting from the first choice; if not selected, they will be considered for the second and third choices to ensure fair evaluation and increase acceptance opportunities.
Previous experience is not required. This space is open for members taking their first steps as well as those continuing their IFMSA journey.
Call for Trainers and Facilitators
We are also opening the call for trainers and facilitators interested in facilitating one of the listed workshops.
Trainers and facilitators play a central role in shaping the learning experience at PreEMR22. We welcome individuals who are committed, responsible, and motivated to create a safe and enriching learning environment. Specific expectations and requirements are detailed in the trainers’ application form.
Important Note for Previous Applicants
Members who submitted applications during the previous call are kindly requested to reapply through this new call to ensure all applications are updated and aligned with the new event dates and logistics.

Application Process
Participants and trainers must apply through separate application forms:
Each form is tailored to the role and contains detailed instructions.
Accepted applicants will be contacted via email for confirmation and registration, including submission of full required information.
Application Deadline: 24/05/2026 – 23:59 GMT
Fees
The participation fee is 175 USD for participants and 150 USD trainers, including accommodation throughout PreEMR22.
Payment details will be shared after acceptance through your NMO President. Please inform your NMO President of your application, as they will be contacted for confirmation.
