What is AMEE?

An International Association for Health Professions Education (AMEE) promotes international excellence in education in the healthcare professions across the continuum of undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing education. Every year, AMEE organises their annual medical education conference: the AMEE Conference.

This year, the AMEE conference will take place in Vienna, Austria, from the 22nd to the 26th of August 2026. The conference will be held in a hybrid format, making many events of the conference accessible to a wide array of participants.

What is the Student Task Force?

One of the major opportunities for healthcare professions students at the AMEE conference is to serve of the Student Task Force (STF). The Student Task Force (STF) supports the annual AMEE conference by assisting with various logistical and administrative tasks for both in-person and online formats. STF Members must be committed to enhancing the conference experience for all delegates in line with AMEE’s core values.

What is the role of an STF Member?

As a member of the AMEE STF, you will be responsible to:

  • Report to STF Coordinators and the AMEE Conference Management Team

  • Participate in pre-conference preparations and training sessions.

  • Assist with practical issues at the conference venue and during online sessions.

  • Facilitate feedback to the AMEE conference team on conference-related items and learning for future AMEE student opportunities at the conference.

What are the eligibility criteria to apply?

  • Be an undergraduate student currently enrolled in a health professions field of study.

  • Have a strong interest in health professions education.

  • Be proficient in English.

  • Have the ability to work in a multicultural and international environment.
