Dear IFMSA Family,
The Task Force on Ableism—established during the 73rd IFMSA General Assembly August Meeting 2024 and with updated objectives approved at the 74th IFMSA General Assembly August Meeting 2025—is opening its fourth call for members.
This Task Force is dedicated to confronting ableism within IFMSA and actively working toward a more inclusive, accessible, and equitable environment for all members.
We are looking for motivated individuals who:
Are self-identified or state-identified as disabled.
Strive for diversity in types of disabilities.
Have prior knowledge of ableism and/or other forms of discrimination against disabled people.
Timeline:
Open call: 7/2
Close call: 14/2
Results Announcement: 19/2
Application Process:
Interested candidates should submit a an electronic application via the form, outlining:
Their experience with ableism and/or related topics and with IFMSA.
Their motivation to join the Task Force.
Their approximate availability over the current term.
Selection Criteria:
Motivation
Relevant experience
Geographical and gender diversity
Proven relevant skills valuable to the work of the Task Force
