Dear IFMSA members and Alumni,

We hope this email reaches you well and safe. Hereby, we are pleased to open the Call for Small Working Group for the 75th Anniversary Book!

Background

In connection with several previous IFMSA anniversaries, not least the 50th Anniversary in 2001 and the 60th Anniversary in 2011, anniversary publications in the shape of shorter books have been produced. These have contributed to the anniversary celebrations with both institutional memory, a strong sense of continuity and inspiring testimonies from IFMSA members all the way from the start in the 1950’s and until production.

As part of the 75th Anniversary, the idea was raised to once again draft an anniversary publication, to bring historical context and testimonies to current and future IFMSA members. Crucially, this could also be published in a digital format.

The Call

In order to draft such a publication, a Small Working Group (SWG) was deemed the most effective and transparent option. Thus, we are looking for 4-8 members that complement each other in their competencies and experiences, to together effectively solve this complex task and present a finished publication to the General Assembly August Meeting 2025.

For more information, kindly see the SWG proposal as approved by the Executive Board here

The call is open in this form here. Kindly submit your application no later than Monday, 2 February at 23.59 GMT+0.

For any inquiries, kindly do not hesitate to reach out to alumni.co...@ifmsa.org with cc to pres...@ifmsa.org.

We look forward to reading your applications!

Warm regards

Hana & John
