base-by-base coverage

Hello everyone,

I'm working with a group that is asking for a base-by-base coverage.  They have some bam files, and I'm wondering if those are convertible to such a file. . . .

Hello Wyatt,

I'm not sure whether bamtools can do this directly but Aaron Quinlan wrote a tool that will give you this information:

It uses bamtools internally.
