Bittersweet news! Fw: Stepping down at Longy

Hello Everyone (even as BAML has just been mentioned online for nemla/atlantic/texas atm),

here is major news from Roy, just ahead. Bittersweet news. 

Some of you will remember Roy was one of the original owners of the baml google groups. 

Turned out today that his attempt to post was thwarted because an older form of his 

email still resided there, so please see his good post just ahead! -- Holly  (ps: his email has been updated in the group)

Dear BAML colleagues,

 

Belatedly, I’m announcing that my last day as Library Director at Longy was September 16.  I’m still continuing at Longy on a very part time basis, working remotely while they transition to a new manager for the library.  The job has not been posted yet.

 

All and all, it’s been a very interesting and gratifying journey directing the library at Longy for the past 22 years.  And throughout that time, I was grateful to be part of a group of wonderful fellow librarians--my BAML colleagues.

 

I’m now happily re-located to Western Mass. and enjoying life in the Hilltowns between the Connecticut River and the Berkshires.
