Hi everyone,

 

At this moment the results of the LimesNet mission that visited Colombia a month ago to get some insight into the bamboo research and development in this country, are being presented by David Trujillo in Bath.

 

Further discussion on the step forward in terms of research and development with the material are to be addressed.

 

So far, besides the strengths of the material in mechanical properties and renewability, questions in terms of biodegradability and engineered applications have raised from the attendants.

 

Engineered products from bamboo with structural and environmental considerations seem to be [part of the future.
