Pre-harvest deformation of bamboo culms

I am currently proceeding with PhD research into pre-harvest deformation of culms for structural applications at The University of Melbourne, Australia. While it seems there is some inertia from the investigations regarding the pre-formed deformation commented by Oscar Hidalgo-Lopez and introductory statements from the INBAR/Institute of technology India etc, I am curious if there are any other academically verified precedents for the structural deformation?
I would also be interested to engage in discourse with others who have successfully deformed bamboo in a repeatable manner within a design specification.

In this moment I´m beginig with a study about bamboo guadua angustifolia kunt pre formed deformation. cross section. I´m from Colombia and I have some experiments in proces about this.
