Geh.  Ioncube.

It' an encoder.  The developers of the component don't want to you see their code, so they encode it with ioncube.  Then, you need to run ioncube on your server to run them.

Not really in the spirit of open source, but that's what it is.

Have you guys looked at pair.com?  I have been using them for my own projects for the past 6 years or so and am really happy with them.  They aren't real hand-holdy, but their support has been stellar, and there uptime is really good.

They have shared hosting packages that are reasonable, and you have a lot of freedom.  You can install your own version of PHP if you want, for example.

Greta,

I'm a hosting reseller. The server I use has IonCube loaded on it and
runs both PHP4 and PHP5. If you'd like to give it a go on my server just
let me know and I can set you up with a test account.
