3d printing services?

Hi all

Kind of off-topic, but I've been searching around today for somewhere
to print a 3d model of
mine and surprised at the prices I'm finding at places like
shapeways.com. Maybe I'm naive about how much it should cost :)

Just wondering if you all know of local folks who are interested in
giving me a quote on a
single prototype.

Mike,

CCBC Fab Lab (where I work) has a Dimension uPrint on hand, the going rate is $6 per cubic inch (the best you can prolly find around). Let me know if you are interested.
