hey all- there will be a hearing on the bill tomorrow (Wednesday the 27th), 5 pm, at city hall.  The current draft does not establish licenses, board, or fees,  which imo is awesome.  It would be great if someone could go & let us know what happens at the hearing.

Subject: Live Entertainment Hearing

This writing serves as a reminder:

Please be advised that there will be a hearing for Council Bill 08-0163, “Live Entertainment - Licensing and Regulation - Hospitality Services - Promotion and Coordinationtomorrow, May 27 at 5pm. The hearing will be held at City Hall, and will also be televised on Channel 25. This is the only remaining hearing currently scheduled for this bill.

As you are probably aware, many amendments to this bill have been proposed. The most recent version can be found here: http://www.baltimorecitycouncil.com/cc08-0163(PrezReprint%20IV)~1st.pdf.

This bill no longer requires entertainment licensing, no longer creates a live entertainment board, and no longer requires any licensing fees. It is a simple zoning bill that would establish live entertainment as a conditional use in B-1 and B-2 zones.

Thank you for your interest in this issue.

'Afternoon, Tiffany--

Any news on whether or not a meeting is taking place this evening?

Thanks for passing around my notice regarding the bicycling manual, by the
way!
