Good morning.  Please see the note below from Sharon Guida who chairs the CVCA's "Land Use and Zoning Committee".

The CVCA is actively involved in evaluating the newly City's newly proposed Live Entertainment Bill and assessing its potential impact on the Charles Village neighborhood.  Our letter opposing the legislation as it now exists is attached.  Councilman Jack Young has already responded that he will keep our opposition in mind as the bill moves throughthe City Council's process and notes that he has heard from others who supoprt the bill and othes who, like the CVCA, oppose the bill.

The bill and its impact on Charles Village will be discussed in more detail at our General Membership meeting on May 27th at Margaret Berent Elementary School.  We hope you will attend and share any concerns you have.  We very much want to hear from you now.  Please note that should this issue need to be brought before the membership for a vote, only dues paying members will be allowed to participate in that vote.  A membership application is attached and will also be available at the May 27th meeting.  Community pot luck supper begins at 6:30 p.m.  Business meeting begins at 7 p.m.

Dana

Gang,

Should we make a plan to meet? My schedule books up. I think we need
to write a letter and we should distribute it in Charles Village. I'm
trying to get people to join the association to create a counter
voice. Let me know your thoughts.

Bests,

John

Yes we should meet. And my schedule is similarly clogged. Ideally we
should meet before the CC mtg on the 27th?

I think I can meet Monday or Tuesday evening. Can I get a sound off
re: schedules for anyone who wants to attend?

hey all,
I'd like to meet if it's possible, but my schedule's crazy also... I could meet Tuesday but would have to leave about 7, or could meet Monday after about 9.  totally understand if you pick a different time based on others' schedules.

Tiffany,

I'm not sure how many others to expect. I can work around yr hours easier on Monday than Tuesday cause I may not leave work until 6p on Tuesday. Bit I will flex depending on john's schedule needs.

Anyone else???

I'm available for a meeting Tuesday evening, any time after 4:30pm.  Unfortunately, I'm not available for the Council Meeting Wednesday evening, however.

If people need a ride to the meeting spot Tuesday night (if the meeting does happen Tuesday night, that is), I can drive them around.  There will be more room in the car this time, I guarantee it.  :)
