There is a loosely architecture based meetup that happens every month
at the windup space, and I'm sure we all know of other groups that
would want to be involved as well. Maybe we can start listing them
out?

Baltimore Design Conversations:
http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=22447158822
http://www.baltimorecenterfordesign.com/ <-- not a lot of info there.

I'm sure of course that refresh bmore would represent as well.

MICA 'Center of Design Practice'
http://www.mica.edu/Research_at_MICA/Centers/Center_for_Design_Practice.html
Mike Wichert chairs this, and he'd also probably be interested.

Speaking from groups that I organize or help organize I can say that
the following would be interested in helping out in some capacity:

- Baltimore SWF - Flash User Group (http://www.baltimoreswf.com or
http://twitter.com/bmoreswf)
- AIGA Baltimore - Baltimore Chapter of the National association of
Design (http://baltimore.aiga.org or http://twitter.com/aiga_baltimore)
- Design Baltimore - Group that is starting design week in Baltimore
in October (http://www.designbaltimore.com)

Others I imagine would be interested but I can't speak for:

- Ignite
- Advertising Federation
- DorkBot
- The interactive arts programs at several area schools that I can
probably get contacts to via AIGA

Kind regards,

Michael Jovel

Sorry, I meant to type AAB, the Advertising Association of Baltimore
(http://www.baltimoreadvertising.com/pub/ADDYS/)

AMA is American Marketing Association (http://
baltimore.marketingpower2.com/)

PRSA is Public Relations Society of America (http://www.prsamd.org/)

Also,

There's WOMMA, Word of Mouth Marketing Association (www.womma.org)

IABC, the International Association for Business Communicators
(closest chapter is DC http://www.iabcdc.org/)

I'm sure there are others I'm leaving out. I'll research others that
we could potentially reach out to.

I'm a member of IGDA (International Game Developers of America)
(www.igda.org) Baltimore chapter--I'm sure there are a few people
there that would be interested--I'll post to their forum.

Some other people to contact for music could be justin blemy of Hexagon and beatbots.com, Mark Brown, who DJs http://www.myspace.com/markbrown. Also, could get in touch with the people who put on Baltimore Round Robin http://roundrobinblog.tumblr.com/
