Hey Effers-

 

In light of Steven's recent media success (I hear he's due for an extra appearence cameo on The Hills?) I figured I'd see if anyone was planning on going to Music City for the match against T&T? I'll be going as I have a close friend whose cousin happens to live near LP Field, which makes it a cheap trip.

 

Steven, has there been any talk through Sons of Ben that you're aware of? I need to make sure I'm not stuck in some stupid F'ing T&T section, I came way to close to getting knifed by angry mexican'ts in Columbus.

I haven’t heard anything from the Sons of Ben about a possible road trip, and I don’t think they’re planning one.  But if you’re looking for tickets, contact either Sam’s Army or American Outlaws, as they’ve got plenty.

 

I won’t be making the trip this time.  So there will be a viewing party at Slainte that day for any who’d like to join me.

Oh yea, and in regards to Slainte I have some sad news.....

 

I was at the pub saturday to watch liverpool and then ventured upstairs to watch some rugger. At that time the manager of Slainte (that fat guy who likes hockey) started talking to me as if he cared about football. I told him that Slainte should welcome US fans (because if you'll notice their website advertises all the international and club footy but no U.S.)

 

His response... "Well they usually play at night and people don't care. It doesn't make us any money"

 

I motion to move our home pub elsewhere. I believe we should consider the following...

 

1. Claddaugh Pub in Canton Square- I know, I know it's like selling our souls. However, for U.S.A Mexico the bar was packed and they had volume and coverage. I know some bartenders there, aaand if we want a viewing party maybe we can reserve one of the upstairs pubs.

 

2. A small pub that has FSC & Setanta that would welcome the business: Alexander's Tavern (Fells Point), No Idea (on hanover st), Brewer's Hill Pub (fleet st)....

 

3. A small bar that would welcome any business: Elliot's Pour House in Canton, who will likely sponsor my soccer team, aand I know for sure if I told them about us theyd throw on the game, volume, and probably give us drink specials.

 

Who needs fancy fake Irish shit on the wall when we've got the Baltimore Brigade!!

Forgot to add that Nick and some of the guys on my soccer team went to Slainte the night of the USA Mexico game, they asked them to go upstairs if they wanted volume, and when they were upstairs they put it on very low and refused to turn it up, so they left.

Saturday night hell yes we are going out!! I like new bar idea, Alexander's Tavern upstairs would be real solid. However, I will be at Slainte Saturday day and can aways try to convince those ppl to lighten up. Whats the college hoops schedule, wherever we go we will need to get there in time to get them to put it on!!

I'm interested in either Slainte or somewhere else. There's just two NCAA hoops games Saturday. They haven't set the game times yet but I'm guessing at least one will be in primtetime so that could be an issue.
