Additional levying of VAT by builder post full & final settlement

Hi all,
This is line to possession being offered by builder of flat units, post clearance of dues and accord NOC  i was supposed to get the registry done on 23rd july but all of a sudden i was intimated by meenal staff of a additional VAT amount that needs to be cleared i.e .approx 22 / sq ft.

Builder is asking to clear this before registry ,since from 1st aug circle rates are being revised with will lead to an additional amount in range of 18 - 20000 for registry after july.

Would request others to share their views on this as we all have been repeatedly accustomed to such instances in past too by builder.

Dear All
Exactly the same has also been told to me.In my view unless they show any
notification of govt for levy of such duty from us we should not pay this
amount.it may be clarified whether it is payable by builder or by flat
owner.

I am the owner of B-14 Balmukund Residence in spite of repeated telephone calls, I have not yet been informed of the development regareding possession of flat. The levy of tax you are mentioning about is it for every owner. could anyone clarify. regards

Hi All,

Anyone got the email/other proof of this additional VAT from builder . What i was told at site that it is expected amount hence builder is taking it in advance.

As July is almost over and we will have to bear extra amount which will be there due to circle rate revision , I request all of you to please share that what are you doing  with current situation ? 

Currently , i am waiting for the GOWO and Builder 's reply on delay in possession  and regarding additional VAT amount, I just came to know through this email chain , hence i am also going to ask builder to provide copy of notice before demanding it .
