Folks
In light of the weather forecast below, do we cancel tonight and
get the Scouts on site for 10 AM tomorrow. By that stage rain
should have stopped and breeze will start drying etc. and then we
can finish site.
My concern is that kids arrive in the rain, gear needs to be stored, tents inside still need to be finished and there is no dry area outside for them to hang out yet or to store rain gear overnight? There is still a lot for us to do, leaders tents to be pitched, patrol boxes to be sorted, fires to be built & food to be stored and all to be completed in the rain might be a big ask?

Think we are all agreed that tonight is a washout :-) I will send an email to parents now with a text also, we will reduce the fee to €30 and adjust shopping accordingly.
Its up to leaders if they want to enjoy another night in their
bed then we will see you in the morning but some of us might want
a quite night up in the hills :-)
I don't think its a good idea having the MPC Scouts there
tonight. 1) I think the hall will be full of drying tents on
Sunday without adding more. 2) It will distract the senior scouts
having to prepare their breakfast early and cleanup and take down
tents while other scouts are arriving - These are the Scouts we
need to motivate/direct the younger ones.
Hope thats OK
