Annual camp :-(

Hi All

I going to cancel the Annual Camp to Scotland for August as I am
struggling to get time to put into this due to the job transition and I
have yet to get  a guarantee from my new employer for the time off.  I
know this will be disappointing for the 14 Scouts that have paid a
deposit but i have run out of time and the prices are climbing.

At this stage I don't intend to plan an alternative as we have chopped
and changed so much already this year but I would welcome your feedback.

Hi Tom, 

Just saw your email here in Paulinura  Italia. Beautiful place .  A pity about the trip to Scotland but totally understandable. Hope you are not too disappointed. Hope the new job goes well for you. 

Hoping we can all meet up for a drink to mark the end of the year. I will look into that when I get back.

Hi Tom, 

That must have been a difficult email to send. 

Would be better to send communication early to parents so that holiday plans can be backfilled.

I would suggest that we still do a weekend camp in July, as we postponed camp that was scheduled for 7th June. 

Perhaps Lough Dan.

And/Or do an over night bivvy in Wicklow wilderness. 

Group acquired some extra DD tarps and hammocks which need breaking in....

Hi Tom, 

Ah that’s awful, but 100% agree as my work situation is a bit volatile at the moment, and I most likely wouldn’t have been able to take any time off. Hope the new job is going well though.
