Since Billy Reed’s will be closed to dancing for the next couple of weeks (until Friday Oct 10th)
I am offering some alternatives for your consideration:
This Wednesday: If you have interest in Argentine Tango, Margo (the Desert’s Queen Mother of Agrentine Tango) has returned from Buenos Aires and you can call her to see if there is an AT dance that would be appropriate for you. (760) 324-6572
Next Wednesday starts the new Wednesday Dance format at Billy Reed’s featuring:
Country 2-Step, West Coast Swing, Nightclub 2-Step, Hustle, and Waltz to songs by country artists.
This dance will be Free throughout the month of October
Thursdays we carpool to Darlene Graziano’s intermediate Cha Cha lessons at the Saboba Indian Reservation. E-mail Barbara Dailey if you are interested in carpooling to this treasure.
Fridays from 9-10 PM continue to be a night for Salseras y Salseros to show up and encourage the management at the Velvet Palm (Fantasy Springs) to play more Salsa music. Luis Garcia tells me that the crowd is growing. The bigger the Salsa turnout the better the chances of getting them to extend even further.

Darlene will be starting a new series of classes in West Coast Swing this Friday. Darlene is a wonderful WCS dancer and a super teacher so these should be extraordinary lessons.
Oct 10th there will be a special practice session after the lessons from 8-10 PM

This Saturday
D & D's Dance Center will be having a Dinner-Dance on Saturday, Oct 11th in conjunction with USA Dance. A fantastic dinner is planned along with exhibitions and lots of great music for your dancing pleasure. It will be held from 7-11pm at 1445 Spruce Street in Riverside. The cost is $25 per person with a $5 discount for USA Dance members. Please join us for a great evening in our elegant, spacious ballroom. Reservations are required and can be made by Thursday at 951-248-0599.

Lessons are taught by many of the best teachers in SoCal. They are included with your dance admission of $10, $7 if you are an OCWCSDC member or $9 if you are a sister club member.
Open dancing from 6:45 till midnight. There is always a free snack buffet.
There are often brief Jack ‘n Jill contests and or brief dance performances.
