Respected Vice Chancellor and Registrar,

I hope this message finds you well.

I am writing on behalf of my batchmates (2018-2023) to seek clarification on the upcoming convocation ceremony schedule and procedures at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow.

Firstly, could you kindly confirm whether individual degrees will be handed over to students by the chief guest during the ceremony?

If the degrees are not being distributed individually by the chief guest, could you please elucidate the process that will be followed for the distribution of degrees? The entire student fraternity expects that the degrees be handed over to them in a streamlined manner. In case the dignitaries are busy with their schedules, the degrees may be handed over by the Vice-Chancellor or any professor.

We would like to request the inclusion of a photo session with the guests. Can arrangements be made for batch-wise photo sessions during the ceremony?

Many of us are concerned about the lack of prior information regarding these arrangements, especially considering the significant fee charged for those opting to receive their degrees in person. Kindly explain, why the same was not disclosed earlier when we were required to submit requisite fee?

The convocation ceremony holds immense significance for us as law students. It is a moment of pride and achievement, not only for us but also for our parents and elders who have supported us throughout our journey. Receiving our degrees in person and capturing these moments with distinguished guests adds tremendous value to this milestone event in our lives. Perhaps, the convocation would be our last formal interaction with the university as students, and students are attending it from far-off places. Thus, it is our earnest request that it may be organized in a participatory way which involves the distribution of degrees in a formal and dignified manner.

We sincerely hope that our concerns and requests will be addressed to ensure a memorable and fulfilling convocation experience for all graduates.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Yours sincerely,
Dharmesh Basedia
