Respected Sir,
This is in reference to the notice issued on 24th March, 2022 417/22/NLU-LKO/Admin/R-34/2021 (Please find Attached ) Therefore this mail is in reference for seeking redressal of the mode of Examination for the academic year 2021-2022.
From the 3rd of January till March of this year, our classes for this semester were held online. After that, we were shifted to the physical mode i.e from 25th of Feb 2022 but unfortunately, there has been an inconsistency and insufficiency in the frequency of our classes since the start of this offline mode. Hence, we are strongly opposing the decision of the administration to conduct offline exams this semester. Hence, the following concerns are being raised by all the batches ;
(1) For the first year students, some subjects' classes like Law of Torts are still being held online.
(2) For the second year students, offline classes of subjects such as Civil Procedure Code were not held at all after the college reopened Physically.
(3) For both first and second year students, this will be the first time that the students will be giving offline exams. It would be highly difficult for students to adjust to this especially when more than half of this semester has been held online.
(4) For many students of all batches, attending online classes has been difficult because of poor internet connection and irregularity and inconsistent timings of the online classes. Thus, they have lost a large number of classes altogether.
(5) A majority of this semester's syllabus has been completed online. Hence, it is only fair that the administration also conducts online exams.
(6) Many universities which had physically reopened this semester are still organizing online exams for their students. The notices given by these universities are attached with this mail.
(7) Fifth year students barely have had any classes conducted this semester both online and offline.
(8)Even if the administration thinks that conducting the offline exams would work for our better future then with due respect then with due respect, we beg to differ, because conducting the regular form of exam in such extraordinary time(Time given less than a month) would be highly unfair and would also be an injustice, there is no chance for our true potential to get on the answer sheets, We are also highly disturbed by a certain call for offline exams. The day we got notice for Physical mandatory re-opening, at that point of time or around that notice has been served it would have fulfilled it's purpose partially at least, but now this sudden and haste order would be a great cause of distress for the students.
Due to the aforementioned reasons, we demand that:-
(1) The administration should rethink their decision of conducting offline exams.
Please find attached the response sheet of all concerned students who are in favor of conducting the exams in online mode. We therefore request the administration to listen to our demands and conduct a dialogue so that our concerns can be heard in detail.
Regards,
Aggrieved Students
