The Central for Criminal Law, Criminology, and Victimology (CCLCV) at the National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata (NUJS) is pleased to invite your esteemed institution and invite applications for the Monsoon Course on Advanced Criminal Law organised by the NUJS- CCLCV.
ABOUT CCLCV
The CCLCV has been set up under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Kavita Singh, Professor of Law, NUJS. It aims to enhance the understanding of students, activists and institutions towards criminology and victimology besides promoting practical research in these fields. The Centre recognises that Criminal Law, Criminology and Victimology are intricately linked and that every criminal law is an extension of the state’s urge to promote certain policies that the society recognises and endorses.
ABOUT THE COURSE
With the objective to further the understanding of the legal community in Criminology and Victimology, the Centre begins its path with the first Monsoon Course on Advanced Criminal Law. The opening ceremony for the Course would be presided over by Justice Joymalya Bagchi, Judge at Andhra Pradesh HC. Different lectures in the course would also be graced by dignitaries like Justice Tirthankar Ghosh, Justice (Retd.) Jyotirmoy Bhattacharya, Prof. Dr. GS Bajpai, Prof. Dr. NK Chakrabarti, IPS ADG Debasish Roy amongst other High Court Judges, Government officers, advocates and renowned academicians from top law schools of India. We request you to find the entire schedule and guest list in the attached brochure. The seven-day long course will be held virtually from August 29, 2021, to September 4, 2021. The students will be evaluated on the basis of regular objective tests and presentations. The certificates would be awarded to the participants only after successful completion of the evaluation test. There are 100 seats available for the course which would be allocated on a first come first serve basis.
REGISTRATION
The registration fee for the certificate course is 2000 INR. After making the payment (as specified by the details attached below), all the participants are required to fill in the Google Form, the link of which has been attached below. Correct Transaction ID and mode of payment must be filled in the google form. Additionally, please make sure that the screenshot image that would be uploaded on the google form clearly displays the amount paid. The registration deadline has been affixed as 15th August 2021 at 11.59 pm.
