Respected Sir,

Hope this email finds you well.

This is in reference to seeking redressal of academic concerns regarding the verification of marks awarded in Online Examinations, pursuant to Notice No. 435-21/NLULko/Admin/E-27/2019 dated 3.4.2021 (please find attached), wherein, the B.A. LL.B. students of Ist to IVth year were assured that, those who are willing to review their answer scripts after the declaration of results will be allowed to view their answer scripts and apply for review after the physical reopening of the University. However, the students have been unable to verify the marks awarded in 24 subjects' End Term examinations spanning across 2 academic years and 4 semesters.

Several students are apprehensive of an adverse impact on their marks due to un-checked answers or other marking errors that may have inadvertently crept into the evaluation process. Therefore, 114 students of B.A. LL.B. Batch of 2023 have attached their representation to this application in the same vein. Kindly note, our request is only limited to the verification of calculation errors, un-checked answers or other marking errors and does not extend to discussing the substantive content of the answer scripts with the faculty.

We humbly bring to your kind notice that, being students of the IVth year, we have to apply for crucial internships and scholarships essential to our future professional and academic career. These reputed internships and scholarships place special emphasis on a student's academic profile and the lack of an opportunity to verify the marks awarded and the absence of a re-evaluation mechanism, have adversely affected the students’ future career prospects. Additionally, when the students are unable to access such academic opportunities, this in turn impacts the overall academic standing of the University.

Therefore, we request that since the University has reopened in the physical mode, the students may kindly be allowed to verify the marks awarded to them in select subjects by either visiting or virtually corresponding with the concerned subject faculty or the Examinations Cell and the STAM Portal kindly be re-opened for updating the verified marks. The Batch of 2023 requests an opportunity to verify the marks awarded in the End Term Examinations of the following Semesters:

1)  Semester IV – End Term Examinations conducted in January 2021

2)  Semester V – End Term Examinations conducted in November 2020

3)  Semester VI – End Term Examinations conducted in April 2021

4) Semester VII – End Term Examinations conducted in November 2021

Sir, we submit the aforementioned request and accompanying facts to your gracious wisdom and would be immensely grateful if you may kindly accede to the student's humble prayer for timely redressal as this would prove beneficial to his current academic profile and future professional career. We understand that you will take an appropriate decision in the best interest of all the students, guided by reason, prudence and compassion. We sincerely expect a prompt and optimistic response in this regard.

Please find attached the list of 114 students of B.A. LL.B. Batch of 2023, who are directly aggrieved and request for the swift redressal of academic concerns through their representation. Also, please find attached the relevant University Notice.

Thank you.

Yours sincerely,
