April 9, 2009 - Thursday
Wednesday night 9-Ball Tournament
We had a great turnout for last nights tournament! 19 people in
total, with a few new comers. I always like to see new names on the
sign-up sheet. The Break Pot was at $180 before the tournament and
swelled to $194 with 7 people trying to get a nine ball break after
the tournament. We are so close to $200!
I wasn't here, so I'm not sure if the pool action was any good or not,
however, John Cambell and his son J.R. drove up from Salem to get in
on the action. The competition is usually tough when he is here.
Steave, who didn't leave his last name, is a new player I believe. He
played well, managing to tie Peter Mercer for the 5th/6th spots.
Peter also took home the Top Youth Prize. Kevin Kuehl, was unable to
defeat Hutch Holycross and eked out 4th place. Hutch, who must have
been playing very well, went on to take out Kevin Parr, landing Kevin
into 3rd place. Ultimately, JC finally gave Hutch his 2nd loss and
went undefeated for the night.
