Hello there! After 17 years of releasing four volumes of Ball of Wax Audio Quarterly per year, followed by an 18-month break, it is time, at last, to celebrate the release of Ball of Wax Volume 69, featuring 20 dazzling duos to delight and discombobulate.

This is the first volume of a new era of Letting Things Take the Time They Need To, and I'm excited to finally share it with you - and thrilled to celebrate at the wonderful new venue the Rabbit Box, right in Pike Place Market.

Another thing about this new era of Ball of Wax: We're paying people! Musicians are being offered compensation for their music's inclusion, and guest curators such as Mia Rose Malone (currently compiling Ball of Wax 70, devoted to WA trans and non-binary musicians) will be paid for their labor. We received a grant from 4Culture, which helps tremendously, but the more folks purchase and subscribe, the more sustainable this model will be.
