The Ball of Wax Rolls On

Hello friends-

In the midst of this traumatic and horrific moment, it feels ridiculous to be emailing you about my little music compilations, but in addition to justice, and peace, and respect for black lives, we do need art and music - and maybe you need 60 minutes of beauty and ridiculousness in your lives now. (If you don't, you probably just deleted this e-mail unread, which I approve of as a form of self-care.)

I'll keep it brief:

• Ball of Wax 60 comes out this Friday, which is the next Bandcamp no-fee day, so if you are going to buy it, that would be a good day to do so.
• It has 60 tracks, each one minute long. You can hear more than 40 of them (and read one sentence on each) at ballofwax.org.
• For the first time in 15 years we're not doing a live, in-person show (remember? We're still doing that whole pandemic thing), but if you tune in to the BoW Facebook page around 6PM Pacific time on Saturday, 6/6, you will see and hear . . . some people doing something.
  
• If you would like to own this, or any volume of BoW, but aren't able to pay or don't think you should have to pay, let me know and I will get you a download.
• Subscriptions are currently very cheap and come with every volume available on Bandcamp. This coming weekend I will up the price a bit and bring the freebie volumes down to a dozen or so.

Just a quick edit/update: We're gonna wait on the live streaming thing. This is not the right time, and we should not be pulling focus from what matters right now. (Black lives matter, in case you missed that.)

We will still release Volume 60 this Friday. If by some miracle expenses are covered, any profits will go to the bail fund set up by Black Lives Matter Seattle King County. (Do please give directly to them if you can.)
