Balki's first lecture uploaded

    I have uploaded the first lecture of Balki on Thermodynamics ( October 19, 2009 ) in the group titled balki1.pdf. Those who missed the class or who wants to refer it later may find it useful

   * I have tried to maintain Balki's style and words as far as I could. Comments, suggestions and improvements are encouraged. :)

P.S : I have used LyX for the text and equations and Xfig for drawing the graphs. I myself do not know LaTeX but will learn it before I do the next TeXing

The file I initially uploaded has some problems and is unable to
open in Windows. So, those who are using Windows, please download the
other file that I just uploaded titled balki1_for_windows.pdf . Linux
users can download either.

HI.

I have a couple of requests with regard to TeXing of lectures:

1. Avoid the use of "lyx" -- it leads to source files that are NOT portable.

2. It is best that I have a look at the LaTeX version before it is put
out to the rest of the group. This point may seem dictatorial but will
help improve the quality of the writeup :-)
