Graded assignment on SR and E&M for Contemporary Physics students

Please find attached a problem set on Special Relativity and Electromagnetism. It has about 9 exercises, some easy, some not so easy. Kindly work through all of them and submit them one week from today i.e., Feb. 22, 2011. The submission date is a rigid one and you should adhere to it. Kindly do not copy from others though discussions are permitted. If you refer to some source, kindly indicate that in the submission.

I am not sure if all DD students registered for Contemporary Physics are in this group. I request those are in this group (Srivatsan/Mounika/Vineeth etc.) to pass on the assignments to the rest of the class.

There will be class tomorrow morning (Tuesday, 22 March 2011) in the scheduled slot,
i.e., 8 a.m. The class will meet in the Physics Dept. Seminar Room near the Dept.
Office. Professor P. B. Sunil Kumar will deliver the lecture. All students concerned are
requested to attend the lecture.
