Nice – Berlin – Istanbul – Rome
The Institut européen des hautes études internationals (IEHEI), an
international teaching
and research institute in Nice, invites graduate students to apply for
its Master programme
2010/11. The “Master in Advanced European and International
Studies” (MAEIS) offers an
overarching, encompassing vision of the political, social, economic,
and cultural problems of
today´s modern world. The courses are taught by renowned academics
from various European
countries, as well as experts from research institutions and
practitioners from international
organisations. They offer a multi-faceted view on Europe and give
students the opportunity to
discuss achievements and problems of Europe and to develop ways to
handle them.
Since 1964 the IEHEI has graduated over 5000 students coming from more
than 80 different
countries.
One programme – two branches
The Master programme comprises three terms and is subdivided into two
branches:
- The trilingual branch (teaching languages are English, French, and
German) includes
trimesters in Nice and Berlin, as well as a one week stay at our
partner university in Rostock
and a two week seminar at our partner university in Rome.
- The anglophone branch includes trimesters in Istanbul, Nice and
Berlin.
Subject Areas: International Relations, European Integration, Economy
and Globalisation,
Federalism and Governance.
Both branches organise a study trip to the European and international
organisations in
Geneva, Strasbourg and Brussels
Deadline for applications is July 15th, 2010.
The courses take place from October 2010 to July 2011. A limited
number of scholarship
funds are awarded to particularly qualified candidates to cover parts
of the costs of their
studies and/or their accommodation.

Applications are open for the new Master in European and International
Journalism.
The programme´s aim is to acquaint young journalists with the issues
specific to
European and international politics.
It teaches them how to take these into account in any day-to-day
practice of journalism.
The bilingual programme (English and French) is based at the “Institut
européen des
hautes etudes internationales” in Nice, France.
It is aimed at students who have completed an undergraduate programme
in journalism
and who have a good knowledge of English and French.
The courses stretch over one academic year, from October to July.
They include a study trip to Brussels, Geneva and Luxembourg with
visits to the
European institutions as well as meetings with practitioners of the
European media and
political environment.
