Things to bring to Bali

Akhil,
Are there any special things we need to bring for either the rafting or
the Vulcano trek? I assume we'll need sportshoes rather than flip flop
for the trek but other than?

Yes that since in rafting u will surely be getting completely drenched, wear appropriate (non see thru unless u want to) shorts.

And yes, at the airport, the driver will hold a placard with your name written on it so please take the Wednesday bunch (U, Carmen, Dipti and her husband together)

For those going to Ijen -

bring:

- good walking shoes

- something warm to wear (fleece/jacket)
- handkerchief or scarf to help prevent breathing in copious amounts of sulfur fumes.

- water bottle

- small backpack.

- camera

I guess some of you have not had a chance to read the itinerary for Bali so here it goes:

Please read this carefully:

Acco: Wed, Thu at Nick's Pension, contact: Yande at 628123957041 the manager.

Drivers for airport pick up:

Wed: 4 ppl leave by late night flight. Look for a driver holding a placard saying : "Akhil Jain Group". Take the hotel temple tour on thu evening- you can join the thu group or go on your own (Dipti knows about it). 

Thu: 14 (+ 1 Deepak), take AirAsia and reach at 245pm. We go straight for temple tour- one big temple Tanah Lot along with some small ones.

Fri: 230am, we set out for Kintamani volcano trek. Wear shoes and enjoy the sunrise. Back by 930am. Sleep off.

1:30, go for Rafting at Ayung River. 6pm hotel drop to Sanur.

Fri eve: Chillax in Emerald Villa or hit the bars.

Sat: Diving, Kuta beach, Hard Rock Hotel

Sun: Sleep in your private pools ;)

Payment: For Thu, Fri: Please pay me 100 USD = 130 SGD = 90000 IDR. USD or IDR preferred. Those with extra acco or less tours pls add/sub. Villa payment of sgd 129 per person is separate to your own villa rep.

Those flying by AirAsia on Thu, pls pay me at the airport lounge. Rest pls pay me on Thu night at Nick's pension over dinner.

Please carry 10 USD per person for your on arrival visa if needed. And enough IDR cash for spending in Bali.
