Hi,

I've been trying to run BAli-Phy 3.5.0 on a group cluster; however it has an older version of GLIBC installed on it and when I run the command "bali-phy --version" this is the output:

bali-phy: /lib64/libm.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.23' not found (required by bali-phy)

bali-phy: /lib64/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.18' not found (required by /home/mayag2/Applications/bali-phy-3.5.0/bin/../lib/bali-phy/libstdc++.so.6)

I have downloaded a newer version of GLIBC onto my drive in the cluster, but I'm having trouble linking the BAli-Phy software to this newer version of GLIBC. Is there a simple way for me to do this?

Hi,

I have tried to install a new C library before, and I think it is not really workable.  I might try to create a singularity image or docker image for bali-phy that can run anywhere because it includes its own C library.

For now, I recompiled the 3.5.0 linux executable on an older cluster so that it can work with an older C library.  Can you re-download the linux 64-bit executable, and let me know if it works on your cluster now?
