I'm fairly new to logic so please be gentle. I'm currently using a bunch of sounds from Jampacks and I spent quite a fair deal of money on it and I must say I'm not impressed with them because it doesn't offer many of the sounds I'm looking for. Can anyone suggest any soundbanks I can download or anything that might have some of the sounds I'm looking for? Thank you for your time!

I think that you should play around more with the instruments that come with logic. Try different effects with them too, a bit of faux-analogue distortion could help; try using the tape-delay without any delay, or download the Massey tape-head saturation thingy, which is free. King Tubby tape-delay is another good free plug-in, not better than Logic's Tape Delay, but easier to get dubby effects.

As for guitars, well... computers just can't do that so well yet... But almost all reggae uses simple major or minor chords, so recording a range of them clean to effect later as samples is easy enough, or buy a cheap electric guitar and learn four hand positions. Bass guitar is easier to get away with, just stick a fat bass amp sound on the channel strip and use the humanize function.

I purchased the JamPacks a long time ago; they are no longer sold separately. But if you purchase MainStage 3 it will install Jam Packs with the sounds and the loops, and GarageBand can use them, if you reindex all loops in GarageBand.

Our Reggae collection of sample packs contains all the elements needed to build professional Reggae music. All Reggae samples are royalty free. Download thousands of free Reggae sounds & samples for your beats and productions! Check slooply.com for a huge range of free Reggae drum loops, one shots, melodies & sample libraries. With 1.8 GB of samples and 473 loops, each of the five comprehensive construction kits contains 3 or 4 main musical parts and dedicated intro and outro sections. The original recording tempos range from 70 to 130 BPM but both tempo and pitch can be easily adjusted using Elastik's powerful feature set. The kits feature extended loops (up to 30 seconds) providing plenty of performance variation when arranging into a full-length track.

Drums are provided as premixed loops as well as single tracks for bass drum, snare drum, hihat, toms and cymbals. Additional percussion includes shakers, bongos and timbales (both with and without dub-style effects applied) and provides additional rhythmic options. The electric bass loops deliver plenty of deep low end and complement the drum grooves perfectly. Multiple electric guitar parts are included, providing options for picked parts, offbeat rhythms, and licks with obvious effects applied. Other instrument parts include acoustic piano, organ, clavinet and brass, allowing you to add plenty of musical interest into your tracks.

The Rocker and Stepper riddims of Reggae Journey 4 are the perfect way to complement the first three installments of the Reggae Journey series. Whether you're a media composer, producer or songwriter, Reggae Journey 4 provides a slice of classic Reggae riddims ready for your own productions. With a truly authentic sound, round out your exploration of Reggae's classic styles with Reggae Journey 4.

Drumdrops has over 400 drum tracks for you to purchase in multiple formats. All of the drum tracks can be purchased as unmixed live drum multi-tracks. These feature full length takes with all the separate drum mics recorded as 24 bit 44.1 WAVs and come with the Pro Tools session file, an OMF file to import into other DAW and a beat tempo map for syncing up external drum machines. The multi-tracks are perfect for people who want to experiment with setting up their own drum mix and have total control over the sound.

A large selection of the drum tracks are available to purchase as drum stem packs which contain the main stereo mix and sections of the drums mixed down. These packs are better for those who don't want to spend time setting up the mix. We have done the hard work for you, mixing them in commercial studios on vintage gear.
Finally a smaller selection of the drum tracks can be purchased as drum loops. Each mixed drum track has been cut down to about seven 2-4 bar loops and provided in the different drum components - full mix, full kit, kick and snare. The drum loops have been provided as WAVs, Apple Loops and Rex2 files meaning they will import into any sampler or DAW.

Purveyors of the finest live drum multi-tracks, stems, drum loops, drum samples and single hit kits. We are constantly developing and recording new drum loops and samples. If there are any products you'd love to see that we don't already sell, please get in touch!

Do not, we repeat ''DO NOT'' attempt to produce authentic reggae beats without using these live acoustic reggae drum loops and ska drum loops for Garageband. You see, modern technology is pretty great and MIDI drums have come a long way, but they still can't (and never will) match the sheer finesse and tone of a live reggae drummer. The drum fills alone are enough to convince you that for Reggae at least, 'live' is where it's at.

Those grooves have been around for a long time and they aren't going anywhere. Download these live Reggaeton drum loops for Garageband and get the most out of the Apple Loops technology you know and love.

Apple loops are specially formatted AIF files which contain meta data. This information ensures that your Apple Loops will contain transient points, key and tempo references and other useful data within the file itself.

You can load all of our free Garageband loops by dragging and dropping the unzipped .AIFF files from your local folder directly into the loop browser within Garageband. To import the files to the iPad version of Garageband you'll need to do that via iTunes.

Dub Brass has landed! A timeless & stunning collection of brass loops & samples, played at session standard and sampled by us here at Touch Loops. They will undoubted lift any track to a new level of quality.

I started working with Matt Jenson 2020, taking private lessons learning to play reggae keyboarding. I am actually a drummer by trade and play various local band reggae bands in salt lake. But when Matt showed me the art of reggae project. I was hooked and volunteered as beta tester. Man, this website blew my mind and gave me the ability to practice at my pace. Matt was very informative and insightful into the world reggae keyboarding. I am looking forward to what else the art of reggae will produce.

Learning and practicing this has improved all my rhythm guitar playing more than I thought possible. Thanks Tuff! Art of Reggae yes very much so. The nuances of the rhythm and technique here, the way Tuff explains them and pushing my boundaries in practicing these rhythms have helped me increase my control and precision with all my rhythm playing to a really significant extent as well as giving me much better insight into reggae style guitar.

These Reggae midi drum loops are squeaky clean and contain only the musical elements you expect to get. We did whatever was necessary to make every note sound the way it should when played back through a drum plugin.

Although it is best to have a great Reggae drummer laying down a fat Reggae groove on acoustic drums, we did our best to bring your music as much of that essence as possible with our Reggae drum loops.

Variable hi-hats allow you to easily adjust how open or how close a hi-hat is played. We created handy Grooves REGGAE DRUMS loops for Handy Drums plugins, which accomplish variable hi-hats most practically and efficiently possible.

The hi-hats utilize only two midi notes: one for the edge and the other for the tip sounds, and you can manipulate the openness by employing the CC4. Tighten or loosen the hi-hats ever so slightly with a turn of the mod wheel. So simple, our grandma can do it.

Pair the Handy Grooves REGGAE DRUMS loops with Handy Drums REGGAE STANDARD plugin, our ultra-realistic, authentic Reggae-sounding sampled drum plug-in, for best results and to take advantage of variable hi-hats.
